From the Bed to the Desk

I don’t know how many steps there are from my bed to my desk. The journey takes two hours daily, filled with thousands of small movements and tiny decisions. Green earrings or blue? Pink lipstick or brown? Socks or no? It takes so much energy to propel me forward, to launch into the black morning. Yet most of it is done on automatic pilot. If I thought about any of it, it would take another hour.

brownish rose-ish. The color roses turn between being a luscious wine color and being completely dried up.

It’s a color that was popular in a slightly different era. Christi doesn’t wear a lot of make-up, my guess is that this same tube has been in her cosmetics drawer – being considered here and there – since it was dropped in the mix 15+ years ago. (I have one, just like it)

Nope, it’s fairly new lipstick. I was just being lazy in my description. It’s not really brown. It’s not really orange. It’s sort of a color you would stain a deck with. Only they don’t put “Fake Cedar” on the bottom of the lipstick tube.
